Governors’ remarks on RETs unacceptable: shah Fayaz

SRINAGAR, (PTK): Chairman JKSSA teachers association shah Fayaz said it is very unfortunate that a particular community of teachers opened closed doors of far flung areas , increased literacy rate to such an extent that j&k is today ranked in top states in literacy rate. These teachers worked hard and they acted like candles from 2000 till date, they worked near LOC, worked in hypersensitive areas of Kashmir valley, worked during winters summers.

Shah Fayaz said that it is surprise and unbelievable that his Governor Sayta pal Malik labelled this community radicalized one. A cream of society selected on merit base and fallowed a procedure appointment, worked just for 1500 Rs up to 5 years.

In a statement Fayaz said that this community used all means to spread network of education across state. Shah said we hope present Government will look into track record and achievements of Ret community and will go through deep analysis and hopefully they will find chest thumbing numbers and remarks.

Hatim Qayoom general secretary of association said that present Governor is well educated and teacher friendly we were not expecting such comments from his Excellency.

He further added 65000 teachers are very hurt and even whole teaching community in particular is hurt by these comments by head of state. (PTK)
