Parts of Kashmir shut for third consecutive day

SRINAGAR, (PTK): Against the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami for five years by MHA, Union Cabinet’s approval to extension of two central constitutional amendments to Jammu and Kashmir without consent of the state Assembly which is stands dissolved , parts of Kashmir valley are observing a complete shutdown.

Reports pouring in here said that amid restrictions , a complete shutdown is being observed in two major townships ( Anantnag and Bijbehara ) of district Anantnag in South Kashmir.

Reports of shutdown and restrictions were also recieved from Langate and Handwara towns of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

According to reports , Langate and Handwara towns of Northern Kashmir are observing shutdown against the killing of two militants who are yet to be identified. Authorities have ordered closure of tuitions in PD Handwara.

Meanwhile , restrictions are also imposed parts of old city.

Earlier last evening , government imposed ban for five years on socio-religious party Jamaat-e-Islami ( Jammu and Kashmir).

Moreover , Union Cabinet approved extension of two central constitutional amendments to Jammu and Kashmir without consent of the state Assembly. (PTK)
