Bhopal: ‘Dhaka gawa chuke ho kashmir kya karoge’ says poet Badr Vasti

Bhopal, Srinagar, (PTK): “Jab tak junu nahi hai tamir kya karoge, Najuk kalayayan hain shamshir kya karoge, Tum se tumhara ghar to ab sambhal na paya, Dhaka gawa chuke ho kashmir kya karoge…. Free Press Journal reported.’

The above lines were recited by poet Badr Vasti of Bhopal on the concluding day of the three-day ‘Jashn-e-Urdu’ on Thursday. The recitation won huge round of applauses from the audience.

The event was organised by MP Urdu Academy. Nearly eight poets from across the nation presented their works. Another work ‘Badal le bhes chahe lehja apna khushnuma kar le, Jo qatil rah chuka hai wah mashiha ho nahi sakta…,’ recited by Hasan Kamal, Mumbai, enchanted the audience.

It was followed by works of shayar Zia Farookhi, Bhopal, Shakeel Azmi, Mumbai, Madan Mohan Mishra ‘Danis,’ Gwalior, Naeem Akhtar ‘Khadmi,’ Burhanpur and Shahid Anjoom, Delhi. It began with poem ‘Thodi Si Roshani Hai Use Jo Bhi Loot Le…,’ recited by Mujjafar Hanfi, Delhi.

Besides that, the third day event began with personality development event for Urdu teachers. IPS, Anuradha Shankar presided over the session. It was followed by ‘Dastangoi,’ and ‘Baitbazi contest.’ A kathak dance of Aastha Dixit with her troupe was held under ‘Raqs-e-Bismil’. She presented Sufiyana Kalam in Kathak which left the audience spellbound. A prize distribution ceremony was also held. Book fair and food festival also attacked visitors here.
