Civilian, two pilots killed in Budgam jet crash

SRINAGAR, (PTK): Two pilots of a fighter jet MI 17 while as a civilian also got killed in this incident that took place in Garend village of Budgam district .

An eyewitness said that at around 10:40 AM , the locals heard three back to back blasts . When the locals came out of house to see what happened in the village , people saw smoke rising from a field near a brickyard .
People rushed to the spot and saw a jet burning ..

People informed local police about this incident and after minutes , Budgam police , 2RR Narbal and RR Daharmuna reached the spot . Few vehicles of fire and emergency services also reached the place to control the fire .
After getting control on fire , search team started searching for dead bodies .
The forces recovered two dead bodies of pilots at first while as body of a civilian identified as Kifayat Ahmad ( 30) was later recovered.

Thousands of people assembled near the accident spot and started shouting anti-India slogans.

After a team of IAF tried to arrive in a helicopter near the spot where people pelted stones on them. The forces fired in air .

Soon after it, clashes spread in the area which are going on.

Meanwhile , thousands of security personnel are at the spot while as clashes are on. (PTK)
