Indo-Pak forces exchange fire on LOC

SRINAGAR, (PTK): For the fourth consecutive day  India-Pakistan forces exchanged fire on the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.

Officials said the Pakistan army resorted to small arms firing along the LoC in Nowshera sector early Tuesday but there was no report of any casualty.

The Pakistani troops resorted to heavy mortar shelling in the forward areas along LoC in Nowshera late Monday night as well, inviting strong retaliation from the Indian forces, they said.

Tension gripped between India and Pakistan over a militant attack in Lethpora area of Pulwama that claimed lives of almost 50 CRPF personnel.

The tension increased today after Indian IAF jets entered Pakistan and dropped bombs. Indian officials claimed killing of almost 300 militants however Pakistan called the claims false and said no loss of life and no damage to property was reported. (PTK)
