Kulgam, (PTK): Government forces on Tuesday afternoon launched cordon and search operation (CASO) in Matalhama village in Qaimoh belt of South Kashmir’s district Kulgam.
Reports Reaching PTK said that army’s 01RR, and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir launched the joint operation in the Matalhama village in Qaimoh South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
They said that massive deployment of forces has been made in the town and house-to-house searches were going on.
An official told PTK CASO was launched following “specific” inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Searches were going on when last reports came.
However, no contact was established with the militants so far. (PTK)
