SRINAGAR, (PTK): Bandipora town of North Kashmir observed a spontaneous shutdown after rumours about killing of a local militant in Warpora Sopore encounter spread in the area.
According to reports, all business establishments are off in the area while roads are deserted.
Reports said that rumours about killing of a local militant spread in the area however police sources didn’t confirmed the killing.
According to locals, as rumours of killing of a militant who is a resident of Qazipora area of Bandipora spread , the town observed shutdown.
Meanwhile complete shutdown is being observed in Sopore township of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on second consecutive day.
According to reports, all shops and business establishments are off in the town while as tuition centres are closed in the town.
The shutdown has also disturbed traffic movement. Pertinently, two unidentified Jaish militants were killed in a gunfight in Warpora area of Sopore. (PTK)
