Budgam man beaten in Kolkata, video goes viral

SRINAGAR, FEB 20 (PTK): A man from Astanpora area of Suibugh was allegedly beaten by a mob in Kolkata on Tuesday evening.

Javaid Ahmad Khan – a 28-year old man who is a shopkeeper by profession was beaten ruthlessly along with his brother by a mob and was forced to chant “Vande Mahtaram” slogans

The family said that this incident came to their notice after the saw a video on social media and when they video called their son he was injured.

Family sources confirmed News agency Press Trust of Kashmir that Javaid has his shawl business in Tahirapor area of Kolkata and was earning his bread from since last ten years there.

“It was first time such incident happened with him” a family member of Javaid told News Agency Press Trust of Kashmir.

“We are worried about him as he is injured and has lost very much of his blood. We seek help from administration to bring him back,” said mother of Javaid.

The family members alleged that his shop was also attacked and shawls in his shop were also thrown on the road.

The family was requested governor administration to help them in bringing back their son to home. (PTK)
