Scores of villages, upper reaches in Shopian still disconnected with town: Congress Leader

Srinagar Feb 10 (PTK): Senior Congress leader Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday has said that scores of villages, besides upper reaches in Shopian District are till disconnected, with no electricity and drinking water.

He also said that Administration has not been able to clear the roads, resulting in people are not able to move freely.

Censuring District Administration Shopian for failing to address problems confronting people, Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday said that Administration has miserably failed to ensure electricity, snow clearance and supply of essentials thereby causing huge inconvenience to common people in the District.

He said scores of villages are still disconnected, besides the electricity has not been restored properly as a result most of villages are reeling under darkness.

Congress Leader urged the Divisional Administration to ensuring road clearance, electricity and essentials to people of Shopian, he added.
