Srinagar: Seven bodies have been recovered from snow on Friday after a snow avalanche struck a police post at Jawahar Tunnel on Srinagar-Jammu highway.
Ten policemen including two civilians were buried under snow last night after their post came under the avalanche.

A official said they have recovered nine men under snow after during rescue operation. Two were rescued alive while seven men were found dead, he added. The search operation is underway to find one more missing person.
Superintendent of Police Traffic (Rural) Muzaffar Shah who was at the spot carrying out the rescue operation alongside teams said the search operation is underway to rescue the missing person. (PTK)
