SRINAGAR: Hurriyat Leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with high level Party delegation today visited SMHS hospital here to inquire about health condition of a Pulwama youth namely Tawseef Ahmad Wani of Achagoza area of Pulwama who was allegedly beaten by forces at an Shadimarg army camp in the district.
According to the People’s League Spokesperson, the others who were part of the delegation include Nisar Ah Rather, Jaffar Kashmiri, Fayaz Ahmad, Riyaz Ahmad and Shabir Ahmad.
On Occasion, the family members of Tawseef Ahmad told Mukhtar Waza that, he(Tawseef Wani)was summoned by the army to Shadimarg camp. He was summoned by Major Shukla. He was mercilessly thrashed inside the camp and asked by army to pose with a gun or face the consequences.
Mukhtar Waza on occasion said that, “We have read in history about the heinous crimes of ‘Changez and Halako’, but the repression and oppression Kashmiris are subjected to have surpassed them as well.
Waza demanded a high-level probe under the supervision of United Nations into incident. He also urged the agency to help resolve the long-pending Kashmir issue in accordance with the wishes of the people. (PTK)
