JKPL Chairman Arrested, Put under detention

Srinagar, 21 January: Police on Monday Arrested Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza from his residence and put him under detention in Islamabad.

Party spokesman has strongly condemned the arrest of party chairman and has termed it as sheer political vengeance.

Meanwhile incarcerated party chairman Mukhtar Waza has paid glowing tributes to victims of Gaw Kadal massacre on their death anniversary.

He said, “It is our responsibility to safeguard the sacrifices of Kashmiri people who have laid down their lives only for the right to self-determination.”
