SRINAGAR, 31 December: Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), Kashmir organized party workers convention under the leadership of State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul, State General Secretary & Ex Minister Sh. Sunil Kumar Sharma, State Vice President & Ex VC Dr. Ali Mohammad Mir, State Spokesperson Altaf Thakur, Kashmir Media Incharge Manzoor Bhat, District President Sgr. Arif Raja Protocol Incharge Kashmir Nazir Ahmad Gilkar, Programme Coordinator Kashmir Ashok Bhat, Incharge Budgam Ghulam Nabi Namthali.
Ashok Koul appreciated the party workers for strengthening the party cadre in the Kashmir, where the basic membership crossed more than 5 lakh. “Earlier we had only three zonal presidents in Kashmir, now we have booth level committees in Kashmir,” koul told the workers, adding, party is hopeful in converting this huge number of party cadre into full vote bank.
“You are the representatives and role models of the party,” koul told the senior workers. “Work hard to reach out the people and bring them into the party fold.”
“BJP has introduced dozens of centrally sponsored schemes for the welfare of general public. You should spread the awareness about these schemes among the people, so that maximum people are benefitted from the schemes,” he said.
There are dozens of party workers engaged as full timers to work for party, whole nation is happy to see that many from Kashmir are dedicated for strengthening party in Kashmir.
Sunil Sharma , while speaking on the occasion said, the workers of Kashmir are party’s assets, and there is a special place for them in the party. “We concerned for the welfare of our workers of Kashmir,” he said, adding, these people have full support from the national leadership for their welfare.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ali Mohammed Mir asked the gathering to stick to the party ideology and work as per the party leadership in the Valley. Mir, said BJPs sole agenda in Kashmir is to ensure development on all fronts and to make the J&K state at par with the rest of Indian states..
