PDP workers from Soniwari joins NC

SRINAGAR, DEC 29 (PTK): A large number of PDP workers from Soniwari area of Bandipora joined national Conference today.

On the occasion, senior Congress leader and ex-MLA Akbar Lone was present. “The PDP workers who joined national conference said that they were fed up by the divisive politics being nurtured by PDP who want to divide the society in the name of region and religion”.

On this occasion more than 20 PDP workers from Soniwari Bandipora District joined National Conference in the presence of Muhammad Akbar Lone. Welcoming the new entrants into the party, Akbar Lone asked them to work with dedication and honesty in serving the people in the face of rampant corruption and mis-governance that had wreaked havoc with the State.

“People are suffering in the face of unprecedented unemployment, rising inflation and a complete collapse of public utilities and services. Key public sectors are in ruins and people in far-flung areas have been neglected by the Administration. As conscious and conscientious political workers and activists, it is your duty to reach out to the people in these trying circumstances and work towards the alleviation of their problems and resolution of their grievances”, Lone said.
