SRINAGAR, (PTK): Government forces on Tuesday evening launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Lurow Village of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

A joint team of Jammu & Kashmir police, army’s 42 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and 180 BN Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched the operation in the area following “specific” inputs about the presence of militants.
Residents said the forces deployed on Tral-Satura road near Lurow were carrying out searches. Forces have also installed lights hinting that search operations might continue throughout night. (PTK)
