Dilapidated link road from Batagund to Charikadi village of Anantnag irk commuters

SRINAGAR, NOV 12 (PTK): Dilapidated link road from Batagund to Charikadi village of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district continued to irk commuters and the pedestrians as the authorities have failed to macadamize the roads despite assurances. Inhabitants living in the areas as well the commuter passing through the roads here have demanded immediate redressal of their genuine grievances.

Locals said that the road in their area was not macadamized and due to potholes drivers jerking their knees resulting the risk of toppling in these ditches.

However, the locals said that the officials didn’t pay heed over it thereby leaving the commuters as well as the pedestrians to suffer. They alleged that the officials failed to repair the road.

The respective governments have neglected this road since 5 years, they said. The commuters experience a multitude of problems. Even patching has not been done besides the scope of macadamisation is a dream for the inhabitants. In this regard they said that the authorities are requested to take the issue on severe note and assist the inhabitants. (PTK)
