IGP Kashmir reviews security arrangements for forthcoming Panchayat elections

SRINAGAR, NOV 03 (PTK): IGP Kashmir S.P. Pan IPS accompanied by DIG South Kashmir Amit Kumar-IPS visited Police Station Litter, CRPF Camp Tahab and DPO Pulwama in Southern Kashmir’s district Pulwama today.

SP Pulwama Chandan Kohli (IPS) received IGP Kashmir and other senior officers. IGP Kashmir chaired the meeting of officers wherein he took a detailed review of security measures taken for forthcoming Panchayat Elections. IGP Kashmir directed the officers to ensure that the elections are held in secure atmosphere.

IGP Kashmir also interacted with jawans at Police Station Litter. He also heard the grievances of police personnel patiently and assured them that their genuine problems would be taken up on priority with concerned authorities.

The interaction was also attended by CO 182 Bn CRPF Shri Naveed Ahmad, Addl. SP Pulwama Mohd Anwar-ul-Haq, DySP Hqrs Farooq Ahmad, SDPO Litter Gh. Hassan, DySP Kakapora Nawaz Ahmad and other officers of the district. (PTK)
