Rajasthan vs Jammu and Kashmir, Round 1, Elite Group C: 30-year-old from Jammu and Kashmir Mohammad Mudhassir bagged the first hattrick of Ranji Trophy 2018-19 to peg back Rajasthan. The fast bowler also went on to bag a five-wicket haul to decimate Rajasthan at the Sawai Man Singh stadium in Jaipur.

Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir won the toss and captain Pervez Rasool opted to bowl first. Rajasthan got off to a good start as wicketkeeper Chetan Bisht smashed a brilliant 159 off 294 balls on Day 1. Ashok Meneria also chipped in with a valuable 59 off 87 balls.

Mudhassir single-handedly halted Rajasthan from getting a humungous first innings total with his breathtaking bowling display which comprised of a hattrick. He picked up all the big wickets starting with the wicket of the well-set Bisht, then he followed it up with the wicket of Meneria.

His hat-trick came on Day 2 of the match and is comprised of wickets of Tajinder Singh, Rahul Chahar, and TM-ul-Haq.
