JKPSC denies allegations of nepotism

SRINAGAR, (PTK): The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission has denied allegations of nepotism, days after Governor Satya Pal Malik accused the body of appointing Kashmir Administrative Service officers on the basis of political recommendations.

“Let me assure all those having stakes in the credibility of JKPSC that the existing Commission has not made any such recommendation,” JKPSC chairman Lateef-u-Zaman Deva said in his statement on Sunday.

Malik was speaking to a national news channel about supposed corruption in the state. The allegations added fresh fuel to an already raging debate about nepotism in the commission’s recruitment process.
