SRINAGAR, OCT 28 (PTK): The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G A Mir have demanded a high-level investigation in the political backdoor appointments in the state.
While talking to news Agency Press Trust of Kashmir, Mir said that his party demands a “high-level probe under the monitoring of a High Court judge”, while Mir, too believes that the investigation should be initiated to “expose the culprits”.
“Now that the Governor Satya Pal Malik has publically spoken out about the backdoor appointments, we appeal that he should be adamant and a high level probe should be initiated,” he said.
As per Mir, investigations that take place in J&K never come to a logical conclusion, and hence, his party demands a “time bound probe”.
“During the time of demonetisation, a cabinet minister appointed by the former government was caught red-handed with Rs 13 crore. We had come out on roads and demanded an investigation, but it was overlooked,” Mir recalled, adding: “Hence, a time bound investigation is must.”
He also slammed the former PDP-BJP government for misusing the job-posts for their own good.
“While there are so many educated youth in the state unemployed, the former government shamelessly misused their power,” he said.
As per Mir, an investigation is the only way to “win the trust” of Kashmiri youth. (PTK)
