Opposition’s silence on stone pelting deaths most unfortunate: Avinash Rai Khanna

SRINAGAR, (PTK): Expressing his serious concern over the death of an army person Rajendra Singh, who succumbed to head injuries caused by stone pelting by a group of youth in Anantnag by pass area of Kashmir valley, BJP National Vice-President & Incharge J&K Avinash Rai Khanna, said that the complete silence on part of the opposition parties over such inhuman incidents is most unfortunate and need to be condemned by one and all.

Avinash Rai Khanna said it is strange that the opposition political parties are in a rat race to condemn the killing of those waging war against the nation and carrying weapons to unleash murder, damage to the public property and disturb the peace in the state and do not muster courage to speak even a single word of disapproval against such incidents and those responsible for them.

Avinash Rai Khanna said that the involvement of youth in incidents of violence and taking on to terrorist activities is not healthy for the society, the state and the nation and it becomes the duty of political, social, religious organizations to counsel the misled youth to shun the path which spoils their career. They should guide such youth to focus on acquiring education, stand on their own feet and support their families, which have high hopes from them.

The BJP leader further said that the men in army uniform too are human beings and deserve respect. They should not be seen from the prism of enmity. They are in the state to work for safety and security of the lives of common citizens. The Indian army is the most disciplined force in the world, which has shown the utmost restrain in the toughest and most tiring situations but that should not be taken as license for trouble makers to indulge in any such activity which results into the injuries and deaths of innocent people, including soldier of the security forces. The opposition parties seem to be oblivious to their this social responsibility of making the society progressive and peaceful.
