Kupwara, (PTK): A teenage boy drowned to death while fishing in a pond in Chandigam area of Lolab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Police officer at PS Sogam identified the deceased as Shaheen Ahmad Mir, 18, son of Abdul Rashid Mir of Lolab’s Chandigam.
Mir was fishing in a nearby pond where he lost his balance and drowned, resulting in his death. His body was later retrieved by the locals.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case under section 174 Cr.PC in this regard. (PTK)
