SRINAGAR, PTK: Two unidentified militants who are believed to be locals have been killed in a brief gunfight at Kralhar near Railway station in North Kahmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.
A police official told PTK that the militants were coming towards Srinagar in a Scorpio bearing Registration Number JK 01 L5792 and after being stopped near a Naka, they fired upon the Police check-post.
“In retaliation, two militants were killed and an one AK 47 rifle, one AK Magzine, 19 AK Roundsn, one UBGL, two Chinese Pistols six Pistol Magzines, 52 Pistol Rounds, 3 Grenades and two UBGL Rounds were recovered from thier procession. We are ascertaining the identity of the militants. One of our cops is also critically injured,” the official said.
The bodies were shifted to DPL Baramulla for futher procedures.
Moreover Driver of the vehicle was arrested on spot and the vehicle was seized.
