SRINAGAR, Oct 18 (PTK): Islamic Revival International School Kangan Ganderbal celebrated its fourth Annual Day Function with zeal and zest, here today in Kashmir university convention hall which was sponsored by Press Trust of Kashmir media group.
Mohammad Akbar Lone MLA Sonawari graced the occasion as the chief guest and, Scholar Zahoor Ahmad Shah Almadni, was the guest of honour.
Prominent among others who attended the function were Senior Journalist Rifat Abdullah, Irfan Quraishi and Shahid Imran,Joint Director Information and Private School Association Kashmir (PSAK) Chairman G N Var.
“The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, guests of honour and other dignitaries.”
‘This was followed by Tilawat-e- Quran recited by the student of this school.”
“The theme of the function was based on ‘Education’ which commenced with presentation of a message by the school students who exhibited their hidden talent and emotions through various characters and pointed out towards the imbalance in the environment which touched the heart of the audience.”
Speaking on the occasion, G N Var private school association Kashmir spoke very high about the school for adopting. He said that “parents should support private school and try their best to support these institute”. He added that it is the need of the hour to save environment for the betterment of the mankind. He also appreciated the performance of the students.
Zahoor Ahmad Shah Almadni, guest of honour stated that he is happy to know that the school has taken various steps to show their talent, he said that both education are important for the students.
Aijaz Ahmad, Chairman of Islamic Revival International School, said that “the teachers of their school are doing best to slow the talent of these students.
However Press Trust of Kashmir encouraged students by awards some of the students of school in which Student of the year award was presented to Soliha Showkat and best Athlete awards of the years was given to Basit Bilal and Sherish Riyaz.

Senior and young journalists were also Awarded on the occasion which include Irfan Qureshi, Rifat Abdullah, Shahid Imran, Wasim Majnoon Mir, Faizan Khurshid, Wahid Bhat, Rouf Dar, Raja Syed who were facilitated by Joint Director Dept. of Information Mohd Ashraf.
Meanwhile Aijaz Ahmad Chairman of the school thanked Press Trust of Kashmir for sponsoring this event.
