SRINAGAR, OCT 14 (PTK): Janta Dal United (JDU) State President G M Shaheen on Sunday stressed upon both India and Pakistan to initiate a time bound and result oriented dialogue process at the earliest.
Shaheen while addressing the party worker meeting at district Ganderbal today said that the present situation demanded conciliation and healing the wounds that were inflicted on the youth of Jammu and Kashmir due to the misgovernment of BJP-PDP and NC-Congress coalition governments which are inconceivable as both of them have disenchanted educated youth of Kashmir to an extent that they are giving up higher studies and lucrative professions to pick guns.
“Janta Dal United presently maintained and built party institutions in the state and will continue to do so with the support of people,” he added..
He further said that JDU has upheld the honor and our party does not believe in rumour mongering and undue fanfare and good work and maintained that now it is the high time for India and Pakistan to initiate a dialogue process to end bloodshed in Kashmir Valley and to restore peace through peaceful dialogue keeping in view miseries and aspirations of annoyed people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions.
“We must take such steps unitedly approaching towards peace which is real solutions to restore peace in valley,” he urged.
A delegation of local villagers of distict Ganderbal led by some intellectuals and prominent citizens also met JDU State President G M Shaheen at party office Ganderbal and apprised him about the problems and issues being faced by them due to callous attitudes of previous governments like dilapidated conditions of road connectivity including drinking water, power, drainage system which are still overlooked so far.
Shaheen gave patient hearing to the delegation and assured to bring the entire issues with Governor and his Advisors for redressal without any delay.
Earlier, Shaheen inaugurated Cricket Premier League being played at Ganderbal to boost the sports activities among youth in which various cricket teams were participated. (PTK)
