Train service resumed after three days suspension

 

SRINAGAR, OCT 09 (PTK): Train service resumed on Tuesday after remaining suspended for a day as parts of Kashmir went to civic polls on Monday.

On Monday  the train service was suspended due to “security reasons”.

The Joint Resistance Leadership had called for a shutdown on the first of the four-phased Urban Local Bodies (UBL) and Panchayat polling on Monday.

Trains will run as per schedule  on Budgam-Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region. Similarly, trains will run on Srinagar-Budgam and Baramulla in north Kashmir. (PTK)
