SRINAGAR, (PTK): Gandhi Jayanti was today celebrated in Kupwara where different organizations paid rich tributes to Mahatma Gandhi.
To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi National Services Scheme (NSS), Campus Units organized a one day workshop in collaboration with Haji Farooq Mir Dist President congress committee kupwara, Member AICC Hundreds of workers attended the function .
Haji Farooq Mir gave floral tributes to Matama Gandhi. In the function all office bearers of DCC Kupwara, PCC Members and Block Presidents were present. Among others who spoke in the function Mumtaz Khan VBP DCC Kupwara, Sarder Baldev Singh leader Member PCC, Nazir Ahmad Lone Gen sec DCC, Abdul Ahad shah Member PCC, Mohd Sarwar Khan Member PCC, Abdul Gani Bhat Member PCC ,Madem Raja je Member PCC,DP Mahila, Insha MC Kupwara, Sagar Rafiq CC MC Kupwara. All Block presidents participated the celebration day of Gandhi ji Abdul Gani Mir BP Wavoora, Bashir Ahmad Gani BP Sogam, Mumtaz Ahmad BP Kalaroos, Peer Mohd Yousuf BP Khurhama , Bashir Ahmad Mir BP Handwara and Javid Ahmad Mir BP Vilgam .
In this occasion Mushtaq Ahmad Malik (Malik Mohalla Kupwara) a prominent PC worker joined Congress in presence of Haji Farooq Mir. Haji Farooq Mir nominated Mushtaq Ahmad Malik Town President Congress (town Kupwara). (PTK)
