SRINAGAR, (PTK): A youth who was killed during a cordon-and-search-operation launched by the government forces in Qamarwari area of Srinagar was laid to rest at Eidgah amid pro-freedom slogans on Thursday.
Reports said that the forces lobbed several tear gas shells as the body of Muhammad Saleem Malik was being marched to Eidgah from his native Noorbagh area.

Meanwhile, curfew has been imposed in downtown Srinagar to thwart protests against the killing of the civilian.
Internet has also been suspended in Srinagar and adjoining Budgam district. (PTK)
