Ganderbal, September 20 (PTK): The Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Kangan of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district celebrated its annual day on Thursday.
Apart from students and school staff, parents, senior citizens and other locals attended the function.
The students of the school presented scintillating performances, songs and humorous plays .
SDM Kangan Mr. Mehraj Ud Din Shah was the Chief guest of the occasion.
SDPO Kangan, SHO Kangan, ZEPO Mr. Mohd Rafiq, Chairman Auqaf Comittee Kangan Mr. Hilal Ahamd Lone, General Secretary Civil Society Kangan Peerzada Ashraf Principal Govt. Girls Higher Secondary Kangan attended the function.
SDM Kangan in his address appreciated the efforts of the school management. He was overwhelmed by the performance and excellence of students in curricular and co-curricular activities.
He appreciated the teachers and staff of the school for honouring and encouraging the talent of students.
Principal Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Kangan presented awards and certificates to worthy teachers and students of the school.
Besides these, Momentos were also presented to meritorious students of the school who excelled in academics and co-curricular activities.
The Best Teacher Award was presented to Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Wani and Award of Excellence was presented to Mr. Azhar Nazir a teacher of GBHSS Kangan and the Stage Secretary.
Civil Society Kangan felicitated the school for good performance and excellence.
Later, the parents appreciated the efforts of the school management to host such a mega event which aims at the development and encouragement of students. (PTK)
