APHC blames pro-India parties for ongoing holocaust

Srinagar, Sep 18 (PTK):  All Parties Hurriyat Conference convened an extraordinary meeting of Majlis-e-Shoora, presided over by its chairman, Syed Ali Geelani, at his Hyderpora residence. The meeting took stock of the latest political situation with reference to the ongoing movement for right to self-determination.

The meeting resolved that “Kashmir dispute is inherited to the division of India in 1947 when except Jammu and Kashmir, rest of the states of United India decided their fate, by joining either to India or Pakistan”.

Hurriyat leaders termed “Kashmir issue as a political and humanitarian issue to be settled by exercising free and fare plebiscite.

In his presidential address, Hurriyat chairman referring to the annals of history of Kashmir regretted the role of Britishers to facilitate the Indian military occupation by resorting to delaying tactics in implementing the right to self-determination as the only democratic and peaceful formula for the permanent resolution of this issue.

The Hurriyat leader also regretted “the dubious role played by some crooked leaders of Kashmir to help India in its illegal occupation of Kashmir”.

Addressing the meeting, the Hurriyat leader advised the members of the Majlis Shoora ro preach Islamic teachings in letter and spirit for eradicating the social evils, consumption of drugs and other immoral activities spreading in our society in the grab of modernism. Our noble character as a good Muslim is a surety for divine help, said Geelani while stressing on the need of the time to follow the guidelines of Holy Quran. Highlighting the election boycott to the upcoming Municipal and Panchayat polls, the Hurriyat leader urged the freedom loving people to stay away from the sham elections at any cost as it has been used as a tool of subjugation, changing demography and tinkering of state subject law in addition to plunder of economic assets of the state.

Blaming the pro-India political parties for the ongoing holocaust, vandalizing of property and widespread chaos and intimidation faced by the people of Kashmir, the Hurriyat leader expressed hope that the people of Kashmir shall never permit such gullible elements to deceive them anymore.

Paying rich tributes to the martyrs who laid their precious lives for the sacred mission during the ongoing movement, the Hurriyat leader pledged to carry this sacred mission to its logical conclusion.

The Hurriyat leader also saluted the resolve and patience of all incarcerated leaders and activists languishing in hell turned jails in and outside the state. The meeting was attended by Gh. Nabi Sumji, Shahid Salim, Syed Mohammad Shafi, Mohammad Yasin Ataie, Bilal Ahmad Sidiqui, Molvi Bashir Ahmad, Gulzar Ahmad, Nisar Hussain Rather, Yasmeen Raja, Zamrooda Habib, Amir-e-Hamza Shah, Khawaja Firdous Wani, Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah and Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar.
