Srinagar, SEP 15 (PTK): Advocating for eradication of corruption through a professional manner, Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Yasir Reshi on Saturday urged Governor led administration to take steps to put an end to such menace in the government offices.
In a statement issued to PTK, Reshi said that corruption is causing damage to the economy of the state due to which the people have got mentally disturbed.
He alleged that the graph of corruption in rural Development department has got increased even the CDF of MLCs are not being spared, saying that the concerned officers are taking commissions of it.
Reshi further alleged said that to release amount under CDF for developmental works, 5 percent commission is being deposited for estimate following which 3 percent each are being given to Junior Engineer and Assistant Executive Engineer.
He added that two percent commission has to be given to VLWs while as one percent each ahs to be given to BDOs, Executive Engineer, District Plan Monitoring (DPM), ACD office, DDC office and Statists office.
Reshi further urged the Governor Satya Pal Malik led administration must put an immediate end to the corruption so that the treasure could be saved. (PTK)
