Srinagar, SEP 15 (PTK): The students putting up in hostel of Sheikh ul Alam (Boys) at the Zakura campus of Kashmir University (KU) are protesting against the non-availability of facilities in the hostel.
The students assembled at Sir Syed gate of the Hazratbal campus at around 10 pm last night and staged protests. The students continued their protest today and have assembled outside the VC’s Secretariat.
The students said they are not provided hygiene food and the washrooms and mess are poorly maintained. “No hygiene is maintained in our hostel mess and food served to the hostel boarders is also not up to the mark,” the protesting students said.
The students said people working in mess have been given a free hand to run the hostel as per their own will. (PTK)
