NGFOA withdraw its strike after three days

Suresh Chugh asks staff to maintain discipline

SRINAGAR, SEP 13 (PTK): The non gazetted forest officer Association withdrew its strike call after negotiating with the officials of the forest department particularly the principal chief Conservator of forests Suresh Chugh, the Chief conservator of forests Farooq Gillani. They complimented the department for their considerate approach with regard to their demands. NGFOA was demanding two and a half day salary, risk allowance, benevolent fund cadre review, and holding of DPCs etc.

Some of the demands were agreed and in some cases, the cases are to be referred to the administrative department.

The principal chief Conservator of Forest asked the staff to maintain discipline and Work with dignity. He said that the genuine demands of staff would be met in a time bound manner.

The NGFOA office bearers appreciated the efforts of the principal chief Conservator of Forest who listened to their demands and tried to solve their problems. (PTK)
