Kupwara, Sep 12 (PTK) : On the directions of District Development Commissioner Kupwara, the Department of Education in collaboration with ALIMCO Punjab has organized 6 Assessment cum Measurement camps in the district including Karnah during last 7 days. A team of expert doctors from ALIMCO Punjab with the help of Health Department Kupwara conducted these camps during which 1915 children were assessed and more than 600 CWSL were recommended for Aids and Appliances.
This was stated by Chief Education Officer Kupwara during a meeting here today. He said that Assessment cum Measurement camp was also conducted in the remote Karnah area, whileas one distribution camp was conducted at Higher Secondary School Tangdar wherein 28 wheel chairs, 12 CP chairs, 26 MSIED kits, 09 braille kits, 30 crutchs, 38 hearing aids and 09 tricycles were distributed among CWSN who were assessed as deserving.(PTK)
