PCC Forests Suresh Chugh reviews performance of forest divisions

SRINAGAR, Sep 11 (PTK): Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) Jammu Kashmir, Suresh Chugh (IFS 1985 batch) took stock of the working of the forest department in Kashmir region in a meeting on 10 Sep.

The Chief Conservator of Forests Kashmir S.F.A. Gillani, IFS gave Power Point Presentation on the progress of working of the Forest Department in Kashmir Region highlighting the achievements under CAPEX Budget under State Plan, District Plan, Prime Minster Development Package ( PMDP), Centrally Sponsored Schemes viz NAP, FPM, SCA to TSP, RKVY & NLM and CAMPA.

The PCCF J&K also took a detailed review about the progress made with regard to removal of encroachments on Forest Land.

During the meeting, the concerned OFOs apprised the PCCF J&K about the achievements made in various sectors and drew his attention towards the issues which required intervention of the PCCF concerning their respective Divisions.

The PCCF J&K emphasized the DFOs for ensuring effective protection of Forest wealth and work dedicatedly with zero tolerance towards any fresh encroachments. Further preparation made for coming plantation season also came under discussion. The PCCF J&K directed all DFOs to work with dedication, zeal and discipline and to address the public issues on top priority.

The PCCF J&K also gave directed to expedite handing over of markings to State Forest Corporation at the earliest. The meeting among other Officers was attended by, N.P. Singh, IFS APCCF, Sarvesh Rai, IFS APCCF CAMPA, Vasu Yadev, IFS CCF Central, Samuel Chankejia, IFS CF Central Circle and Vivek Verma, IFS CF Working Plan. (PTK)
