Students of 10th, 12th class demands deferment of examinations

SRINAGAR, SEP 10 (PTK): The students of 10th and 12th class demanding deferment of examinations till Nov 2nd week.

Several students while taking to Press Trust of Kashmir said that, “Our exam should be postpone till 2nd week of Nov as we have not complete your syllabus”.

One of the student of Khotibagh Srinagar told Press Trust of Kashmir over Phone that “the decision taken by JKBOSE is unacceptable”.

She added that “we did not have required number of working days in the schools due to which the syllabus has remained incomplete” she added that it’s not possible to cover 20 chapters with in 20 days”.

Another students of SP higher secondary said that “students have not completed 70% of syllabus so far”. He added that “students request JKBOSE Chairman and Director School education to postpone exams till 2nd Week of Nov”.

Another student from Pulwama said that “We want some more time because we have missed many working days this year. We have not completed the syllabus yet”.

Following the law and order problems between March and May, schools were closed intermittently for a month.

“The education department has also asked to delay the exams till November on the request of students. We have taken these things into consideration and decision will be taken accordingly,” said Veena Pandita, chairperson, BOSE while speaking to Press Trust of Kashmir.  (PTK)
