Dead body of a Tangmarg youth missing from past two weeks was found in the forest of Tangmarg area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday morning.
Youth identified as Mehraj ul Din Teli (25) son of Abdul Majeed Teli resident of Khaipora Tangmerg was found dead sunday morning in the dense forests of Tangmarg.
As per reports Din was missing since 23 August from his home, and a missing complaint was filed on 26 august at Police Station Tangmarg.
As per police statement the motive of murder has been found to be alleged relationship of Mehrajuddin Teeli with sister of one the accused which was objected by both the accused who later murdered the deceased.
The two accused identified as Irshad Ahmed Wani S/O Ghulam Mohidin and Imtiyaz Ahmed Wani S/O Ghulam Rasool both residents of same village Rishipora Khaipora Bala,Tangmarg finally were earlier arrested on the suspicion basis who later confessed that they murdered the missing person Mehrajuddin Teli on the same day he had apparently gone missing and they also confessed that they buried his deadbody in Nallah at some distance from their native village
Meanwhile the dead body was taken to hospital for medico legal formalities.
Further investigation is going on.
Police version
On 26.08.2018 one Abdul Majeed Teeli R/O Rishipora,Khaipora Bala , Tangmarg approached to Police station Tangmarg with a written complaint stating therein that his son namely Mehraj-ud-din Teeli aged about 25 yrs had gone missing since 24.08.2018. Accordingly a missing report was diarized in Police Station Tangmarg and search was undertaken. Police made all out efforts to trace the missing person but he couldn’t be found anywhere.
In the meanwhile working on some clues police rounded up some suspects and began their sustained questioning.
After prolonged questioning spanning for two weeks two suspects namely Irshad Ahmed Wani S/O Ghulam Mohidin and Imtiyaz Ahmed Wani S/O Ghulam Rasool both residents of same village Rishipora Khaipora Bala,Tangmarg finally confessed that they murdered the missing person Mehrajuddin Teli on the same day he had apparently gone missing and they also confessed that they buried his deadbody in Nallah at some distance from their native village.
Both the accused are cousins and the motive of murder has been found to be alleged relationship of Mehrajuddin Teeli with sister of one the accused which was objected by both the accused and they had nourished the ill will against the deceased. After murdering him they buried his dead body in the Budnar Nalla which is around 1 ½ kms away from the village Reshipora.
On their disclosure and at their instance the Police team accompanied by the medical and Forensic teams and also magistrate rushed to the spot, and on the indication and identification of both the accused the dead body was dug out and found in decomposed state. Accordingly Case FIR No. 75/2018 U/S 302 RPC was registered in Police Station Tangmarg. Dead-body is being taken for autopsy and other medico-legal formalities.
