SRINAGAR, SEP 03 (PTK): The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) held various meetings of Senior Party leaders of District Srinagar and District Pulwama at Party Headquarters today. The Party deliberated on ensuing ULB & Panchayat elections in the State urging upon the Governor Administration to ensure security cover to contesting candidates to ensure safety of life and property.

A meeting of Senior Party Workers of District Srinagar presided by DCC President Irfan Naqib threadbare discussed the current situation in the State especially in valley and urged upon the Party Cadres to work hard to ensure victory of Party Candidate in the ensuing ULB & Panchayat Elections, but at the samtime, the meeting emphasized that the candidates contesting elections be provided requisite security cover to ensure their safety.
Simultaneously a meeting of Party workers of District Pulwama presided over by District President Fayaz Ahmad Dar exhorted the Party workers to gear up for the Elections and ensure that Congress Candidate win the elections with a thumping majority.
On this occasion JKPCC Vice President Mohd Anwar Bhat was also addressed the meeting and said although Congress party is full prepared to participate in the ensuing elections, but at the same, he demanded adequate security cover to the candidates and urged upon the Governor Administration to ensure safety and security of Contesting Candidates.
