Honour and respect of people is at stake: JKDFP

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 28 (PTK): Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) has strongly condemned the harassing of militant families by the men in uniform and said that such cowardly acts are enough to prove the brutal and unethical attitude of the government forces in Kashmir. The party strongly condemned the recent raids on militant families and damaging of their properties.

In a statement issued to PTK, a party spokesperson said that Indian forces and their collaborators like SOG should fight militants directly instead of their families. He appealed human rights forums to take strong note of the recent force’s raids on militant families especially in south Kashmir so that innocent people are saved from the wrath of occupied forces and their collaborators.

Meanwhile, the JKDFP spokesperson expressed concern over the acute and volatile situation the people are facing in the disputed region. At one hand people’s honour is at stake and on the other their economy and demography is under attack.

Stating that any sort of tempering with the hereditary State Subject Law of the State will invite serious repercussions and the people of entire State, JKDFP Spokesperson said that such ploys only clarify the evil designs of New Delhi towards the people of Jammu Kashmir. We must rise to the occasion against the Indian constitutional, judicial and political aggression brought about in the wake of abrogating article 35-A, the JKDFP Spokesperson said. Terming Kashmir as an internationally accepted dispute, JKDFP Spokesperson strongly castigated the India stubbornness and illogical rhetoric.

JKDFP congratulated Dr Abdul Hameed Fayaz for being elected as new chief of Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu Kashmir. In a message the JKDFP Spokesperson hoped that Jama’at will reach new heights under the leadership of Dr Hameed Fayaz as he has both religious and academic qualifications. (PTK)
