SRINAGAR, (PTK): A major gunfight broke out in north Kashmir’s Rafiabad area on Wednesday as five militants are suspected to be trapped in a cordon of forest area, police said.
The exchange of fire between the militants and security forces is continuing while the entire area has been cordoned off, a police official said.
The official said the number of militants trapped in the cordon is suspected to be five. The group affiliation of the militants is not immediately known.
It is the second major gunfight in north Kashmir in two days. On Tuesday, four soldiers, including an officer and two militants, were killed in Gurez sector of Bandipora. (PTK)
