SRINAGAR, (PTK): At least ten people were injured Saturday in clashes with government forces in Yannad village of Pahalgam in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday.
Reports said that clashes broke out in the village soon after the news of the death of a local militant Arif Ahmad Mir reached the area.
They said that youth threw stones at forces, to which forces retaliated by firing tear gas and pellets leading to clashes between stone throwing youth and government forces.
Earlier, five militants and a civilian were killed in Kiloora Shopian during an encounter. While a number of people have sustained injuries near the encounter sight during clashes with government forces.
