SRINAGAR, (PTK): Several members of Bar Association Anantnag staged a peaceful protest against the ‘attempts’ to abrogate Article 35-A of the constitution that confers special rights on the permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
The lawyers, led by Bar Association president Advocate Fayaz Ahmed Saudagar, register their protest against the scrapping of the article.Supreme Court of India is hearing pleas challenging the constitutional validity of Article 35(A), which prohibits a non-J&K resident from buying property in the State and ensures job reservation for J&K residents.
