SRINAGAR, JULY 25: Director General of Police, Dr. S.P Vaid has granted Special Reward of rupees four lakh fourteen thousand in favour of eighty six wards of serving police personnel for securing prescribed percentage of marks in the annual examination of class 10th during academic year 2017-18.
In an order issued by PHQ, rupees six thousand each has been granted in favour of thirty five wards for securing above ninety percent marks and likewise rupees four thousand to the fifty one students for securing eighty to ninety percent marks in the annual examination. The wards include forty four girl students.
Special Reward and scholarships in different categories are given to the police wards out of contributory police welfare fund with the aim to inculcate a spirit of competition among them and prepare for competitive examinations.
