SRINAGAR, JULY 11 (PTK): A fresh batch of 4943 yatris left Jammu base camp on Wednesday morning for Amarnath cave shrine in Kashmir Himalayas.

“2266 yatris left in 69 vehicles for Baltal route at 1:40 am while 2677 yatris left for the traditional Pahalgam route at 2:15 am in 92 vehicles”, said an official.

Over one lakh pilgrims have performed this year’s Amarnath Yatra that started on June 28 and will end on August 26, coinciding with the Shravan Purnima festival. (PTK)
