Kupwara, July 05: A family in Kupwara town alleged that police have refused to file a FIR against miscreants that they allegedly harassed the Women (Name with Held).Family members of women (Name with Held), of Kupwara Town told our correspondent that they approached the Police Post Bazar Kupwara with a plea to file first information report (FIR) against miscreants.According to the complaint lodged by the women and her family at Judicial Magistrate then submitted to Police Post Bazar, the incident took place on 06 June when she had gone to her Tiles factory in Geerhati Kupwara area where she was harassed by miscreants and face use abused language, the complaint said.
“The judicial magistrate Kupwara directed the police to register First Information Report (FIR) on 06 June against accused in complain for allegedly harassed a women.”
“We submitted an application at the police Post(a copy of which is with us) on the same day when the assault took place. The police initially assured that an FIR will be lodged against the accused but till date no action has been taken place nor FIR has been lodged by Kupwara police ” Vicitims family said.
“All of our family members visited Police Post Bazar Kupwara from last few weeks and after having a conversation with police they did not entertained our complaint. We were totally hopeless,” they added.
It is pertain to mention here that, according to the victims family one of the accused left country on Monday with consent with police(PTK)
