Rescue operation to retrieve body of female teacher from River Sindh intensified

Ganderbal 24 June(PTK).The rescue operation to retrieve the drowned body of female teacher from the Sindh Nallah in Ganderbal has been intensified on Sunday, when a team of Marine Commandos (Marcos) today reached Gagangeer on the request of MLA Ganderbal and district administration.

MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar said in Gagangeer Ganderbal who is himself monitoring the rescue operation that a team of Marine Commandos (Marcos) had been pressed into search and rescue operation.

Earlier I have requested Sector Commander 3 RR Manasbal to depute a team of Marine Commandos (Marcos) to trace out the drowned school teacher and today morning they have reached the Gagangeer so as to fish out the body, the statement added.

A team of police along with civil administration and volunteers are also on job to rescue and retrieve the body of a female teacher, who drowned on Wednesday, but no success yet, Ishfaq added.

Kulsuma Rashid, a female teacher at a private school, slipped into the river sindh near Gaganger area of Sonamarg in Ganderbal district on Wednesday while taking pictures during a picnic(PTK).
