Mega Naat Competition of PSAJK reaches semi-final stage

Three qualify from Srinagar, State level final today i.e. on June 13

 

Srinagar, June 11 (PTK): As part of grand State Level Naat Competition organised by Private Schools’ Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK), the final semi-final phase of district Srinagar was completed today at R P School wherein three students qualified from the district.

 

This year the Naat Competition has been organised on a record scale with the participation of over 750 private schools from 10 districts in Kashmir division and 5 districts from Jammu division.

 

In today’s semi-final, students from various private schools of Srinagar district participated wherein three students qualified for the finals. Those who qualified included Shahid of class 9th from International Islamic School, Uzma Gull of Class 4th of Bilaliya Educational Institute and Azka of class 10th of R P School.

 

“This is part of our wider programme to include moral and Islamic education as part of our curriculum. This not only brings exceptional talent to the fore but also makes student understand the best of what is offered by the Holy month of Ramadhan,” said G N Var president PSAJK.

 

The Association said that the semi-finalists from all the districts will converge at Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) auditorium in Srinagar for the finals to be held on 13 June 2018. The Naats will be judged by expert panel and the winner will be presented awards.

 

“This has been a long journey for thousands of students who participated and ultimately few of them reached to this stage. This exercise will result in emergence of some of the best Sana Khwans of future generation,” said Var. “This year’s competition will be remembered for one of the biggest events conducted so far wherein students as far as Ramban, Poonch, Rajouri and Doda also participated.”
