SRINAGAR JUNE 12 (PTK): Jammu and Kashmir SSA Teachers Association has extended full support to silent sit-in of Teacher‘s Joint Action Committee (TJAC) at secretariat which is scheduled to be held on 13 June.
In a statement Shah Fayaz Chief Spokesperson of the Association said that unity is the need of hour and a good sign for teaching community in general and for SSA teachers in particular that all unions of teachers of education department are united under a common platform Teacher‘s Joint Action Committee (TJAC).I
Shah Fayaz also said it is not fight of leadership or to count that how many are with A or with B. rather it is time to rise above forum politics and leave self Interest, arrogance and egoism. The time has come to utilize brain power and amalgamate our emotions so that we succeed. We as intellectuals know how to deal with any odd situation as we represent forty one thousand Rehbar e Taleem teachers under SSA.
Shah Fayaz said that no one can deceive or demoralize us. We cannot be suppressed as we all are united to triumph in the end. The time demands that we support TJAC for result oriented programmes.
Shah Fayaz said TJAC has services of veteran trade Union leader Ab Qayoom Wani who has a 30 years’ experience in trade Union, and who knows how to overcome the challenging times With proper planning and brain power Wani has seen imprisonment and suspension in past and sacrificed physically during struggles for the honor of employees. Under his able leadership, TJAC was formed to counter anti -teacher policies of authorities.
Shah Fayaz said that “Silent Sit-in” at Secretariat on 13 June will be a result oriented programme as this is meant to highlight the plight of SSA teachers in front of the highest seat of power in the capital. JKSSA Teachers Association is geared up to contribute and participate in the programme to make it a grand success. (PTK)
