Expresses serious concern over plight of detainees
Srinagar(PTK).: Senior Hurriyat Hurriyat Leader and Jammu and Kashmir People’s League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad waza has said that Kashmir is not an issue of economic doles or privileges but a political and humanitarian issue and it is our consistent stand that this issue can be resolved either by implementation of UN Resolutions on Kashmir or through a sustained result oriented meaningful dialogue among India, Pakistan and the people of Kashmir and that military might can’t muzzle the genuine aspirations of people of Kashmir.
Waza said this while addressing Gathering at Aishmuqam area of Islamabad under its public contact Programme.
Waza while expressing his serious concern about plight of detainees lodged in and outside valley urged the Amnesty International and other bodies to play their role for the release of political prisoners languishing in different jails of India.
Meanwhile waza also visited the house of Youths who got killed yesterday in a tragic road accident at Zojila Ganderbal.
Waza on occasion prayed for the departed souls and expressed deep sympathy with the bereaved families(PTK).
