Ganderbal:The much awaited Final Match of the 2018 JUNIOR FOOTBALL League was played on Sunday evening at the picturesque Lar Football Ground in which Dangerpura Strikers were crowned champions.A total of 16 teams participated in the tournament organised by Army Camp, Qasbalar. The tournament, which kicked off on 27 Jun 2018 generated a lot of interest amongst the locals and all matches were witnessed by packed audiences.The final match lived up to its billing with both teams deadlocked after the stipulated time in an excruciatingly close encounter.Dangerpura Strikers held their nerves to emerge as the winners after the penalty shootout.The meritorious teams and players as well as officials were presented with trophies, medals and cash prizes.The prize distribution ceremony was followed by breaking of the fast, offering of prayers and dinner.The locals appreciated the Army for providing such a platform to the young players to showcase their talent.
